This Mecha is hot!
I'm not really into the whole Mecha thing, probably because I wouldn't know where to start building one myself, but this one, named the Jalapeno Strife by its creator m_o_n_k_e_y really jumped out at me. I love the striking use of colour, the simple, but effective uses of pieces for the weapons, the huge hip joint sections...
It just screams aggression and anger, both qualities that I admire.

I love playability.
Anyone who knows me will know that I love playable features in a creation, which is why I was pleased to see this new mech from Legohaulic - he's included a nifty spring-loaded ejection seat for the pilot/driver!

Fredoichi Rocks Out
Flickr user Fredoichi (rather well known on this blog from what I see) astounds us all again with his new Shūjuku L99 - Assault Class mecha. If the design isn't enough he even uses fantastic and interesting parts throughout. I really like the white med. blue and dark bley together. That tan takes the cake though.

On Patrol
It's been a couple of days now since I saw Adrian Florea's wonderful On Patrol vignette, and I just couldn't resist blogging it when I found myself bored and on my Blogger homepage just a few minutes ago.
The mech in the vignette (or diorama - I won't go back into all those arguments about what defines which) is masterfully built in black and dark blue, and whether it's just the photography or not, it certainly looks very shadowy, so much so that it's hard to make out the shapes. The Brickshelf gallery gives some other views, which helps reveal more of it.

Unknown Encounter in Sector 96
After the War of the Nukes (as it was called by most survivors) the majority of the earths surface was turned into a barren wasteland entirely devoid of life. After that most battles were carried out by automated war machines.

Only you can prevent forest fires....
Only you can prevent forest fires, originally uploaded by DARKspawn.
or so says Aaron (DarkSpawn). With his fantastic Civil-MECH. It would have made a fantastic entry into the Civilian MECHA contest although unfortunately it was just a little late.

Sir Nadroj's Mechs
Our good friend Jordan Schwartz (Sir Nadroj ) has been hard at work building various Mechs (or Mecha?) for the MECHA HUB's Civilian Mecha Contest .
Firstly there's my favourite, the Subterranean Causeway Mech ...
Then there's the 'Black Nectar ', an insect-like flying beast with great use of Magnaguard cloaks as papery wings.
And finally there's the Grand Architect , a towering Mech reminiscent of Schwartz' God-mech which he built a few weeks ago (and which I found was amazing and unique). My only problem with this mech is the legs-they just don't look right. And the head's quite strange too. Ah well.
So I hope, for his sake, that he wins.

Chewk's Landmate
Behold, a mecha. Yeah, yeah, I know I don't usually blog mechas: I don't usually like mechas, but Chewk 's recent redesign of his CCCP ДИ 3204 Landmate grabbed my attention by the collar and gave it a good hard slap round the face. With the custom stickers and a humanoid-rhino-type-shape, the Landmate is one mecha you will never forget.

Prototype Attack Mech
Sometimes there's nothing better than a good Mecha, especially one like Happy Weasel 's Prototype Attack Mech which has zoomed to fame and glory with over 1,400 views and more notes even than when Dano posted that picture of Chell in anime, which is hard to beat. With its crosses, brilliant colour scheme, soft lighting and helmet design that reminds you of something you must have seen before, this Mecha is truly the definition of FTW. Brilliant stuff.

'Ticha'
Sir Nadroj brings us Ticha, an interesting humanoid mecha. Ticha (whose name and look bear a resemblance to Tigger, in my mind) has 26 points of articulation and a poseable tail. My only criticism is that it could have had a better face - something with a smiling mouth, or at least two eyes. And stripes!

Monkfish 44: Hardsuits
Once again, I will give you a glimpse into the savage (and very creative) world of Lego Hardsuits. I've found a great Flickr user, Monkfish44 , and here are some of his best Hardsuits:
A 'Work Suit': has some great grey/yellow bricks (what a brilliant colour scheme, oh wait, it's the colour scheme for this blog!), and I love the decals too. Not to mention the feet :D!
Don't even get me started on this one, the Bitaur. I love all the techniques used (look at his shoulders and feet, it'll blow you away), and the purple is nice too, as a background.
This one's called Khan. Though it's not as good as the others, I like the use of a flagpole with horns, and the legs are good too. I don't think I've ever seen an ancient Mongolia-inspired Hardsuit before.
Well, those are the three that are my favourites. To see Monkfish 44's other Hardsuit offerings click here.

LemonBoy's Jet Hardsuit
I don't think we've ever featured a hardsuit on Brickspace before, so I'm pleased to show this one: the first.
Created by that guy Lemon Boy , whose creations have featured here previously, I think, this hardsuit is immaculately designed and well presented, with a good minifig head to top it all off. For those of you who don't know, Hardsuits are like mechs only for minifigs, and at minifig sizes: sort of like RoboCop (God I hate those films) or maybe the Terminator. They're a huge hit on MOCpages, and if you wanna see more, just get down to the Hardsuits MOCpages group .
Aside from the clever intricate details and use of those new 1x2 clip rung plates (crap, I've only got two), this MOC looks a little too precarious and unstable for me. Hey, nothing's perfect.
More pics here . Have you seen a great MOC you wanna get out there? Email me !

Classic Space Mech

Go go Lemon Boy! Piaw piaw! Zipee dee doo da deee! Wah-hoo!
Er...sorry about that, guys. This is a great creation - a transport mech built in the classic space style, but with new bricks and a fleshie minifig. Interesting, huh? I love the bold, shiny colours, the injection of new building techniques and bricks into a classic LEGO theme. Simply amazing.
5 Star. Well, duh.
