Tim was raised in the wild by giant lego turtles, and is skilled in the arts of annoying John and Luke, and finding the best lego creations on the net. He holds the world record for eating only cabbage his whole life, and the large amount of fibre causes him to pass wind constantly. He has only posted twice on the Brickspace blog, and no one knows how to contact him as he now works for the mafia and has gone into hiding because he is America's no. 3 most wanted. Many say he's dead, but John 'sees' him regularly, and has not yet commented on whether he is dead or not.

     introduction
John joined the online Lego community as a Brickfilmer - much like Zack 'NewRight'. He began on Brickshelf, then quickly moved through MOCpages and has ended up on Flickr, where he has had an account for 1 1/2 years. A TFOL and student from London, John builds mainly sci-fi and space creations, but has been known to make Castle or Post-Apoc creations too. He is most known for his Ikea-esque minfig-scale furniture collection, the JOHN Collection.

     biography
Raised by rogue Lego Bricks, our Blog admin, John, is skilled in the arts of fine building, making food out of rocks, drawing funny little cartoons, making water out of rocks, walking on water, being cool, and he can also code Actionscript, which is additionally cool. At the age of three he solved the mystery of time travel, but nowadays he just hangs around doing this blog, making movies, and generally being cool.

More Lego Escher

Ah, MC Escher...a master of illusion.Ah, everyone on the internet...masters of copying Escher's illusions into...into...Lego?
Woah, this is MC Escher's stream illusion. The tower on the left goes down in a rather odd way! The secret, well, I think it's the second tower: the water gutter bends down, then up again. very nicely done.

Jumbo Genius

Mega LEGO
Ah, this guy's got talent. This is a jumbo-sized minifig walkie-talkie, probably 1:8 or 1:10 scale. There's loads more types of complicated bricks that this guy's made in jumbo, but I like this one the best.

iPhone comparison

Hey, I love the iPhone, so why not in Lego? Here it is side-by-side with its aluminum-and-glass cousin. I'm not sure which one I prefer...
Oh, also, I like the way the whole lego iPhone has remained studs-up, apart from the home button of course. This is much better than that Lego iPod that's been circling the net.

I gotta get myself an iPhone some day...

Escher goes Lego

Now, this creation has been around the net for ages, and so I'll show it to you as the third post. Escher was a brilliant artist who made complex illusions, like the stairs that seem to always be going down. This creation is great ... it just rocks, really. Well done, whoever made it. Also, try and work out which way up it goes ... hmm ...

[Gold 03.08] Sculpture of dissolving man

This is a picture of a series of sculptures, made by some swedish lawyer who quit his job to become a lego artist. He was in the Volvo magazine recently...
This sculpture is great, with the pile of bricks at the bottom and falling out of his chest to look like he's leaking or dissolving or something.

LSW Republic Cruiser

Wow, this is a huge creation. No worries, it was released at Celebration III by proper Lego Master Builders. Surprisingly, the sides of the RC are normal-studs facing up, instead of studs facing sideways.

Become a staff member!

So you want to be part of the Brickspace team?
Join our blogging team in three easy steps!

Here at Brickspace, we're always in need of new staff to help us blog any new MOCs, videos or great deals on LEGO sets. We don't care whether you're a famous Brickfilmer, popular MOCer or if you don't build or Brickfilm at all - if you can blog well, you're in!

There's just three steps to becoming one of our bloggers...

1. Are you right for Brickspace?
At Brickspace we need bloggers who can blog interesting, intellectual content. The following blog post topics are not accepted:

  • Non-LEGO® topics
  • Rude language
  • Abusive comments to anyone (yes, even our staff)
  • Anything guiding viewers to rival sites with pornographic, rude, extremely violent or Mega Bl*k-related content
  • Deliberate or substantial use of bad grammar/awful spellings
We don't mean to be strict and controlling of what you blog, but we have a right to our readers to provide top-quality, interesting content. We don't want to blog a creation or Brickfilm and not say anything about it - we want bloggers who can review the stuff they've found on the net.

We are currently looking for new bloggers to enlarge our blogging of:
  • Brickfilms and LEGO-related videos
  • Set reviews
  • Reviews of Lego conventions and events
  • Notifications of discounts off LEGO sets in stores
2. Fill in our Staff Joining form

3. Wait for response
Send your form off to us, and we will review your application and attempt to respond within 7 days. If your application is accpeted (which is highly likely), we'll send you an email containing further information about how you will become part of the team at Brickspace. Thanks!
