Brainbikerider builds the Nissan iV

Nissan iV, originally uploaded by Brainbikerider.

I've always been a fan of concept cars and all other things related to conceptual art. The angles that are in conceptual art are near impossible to build whenever I sit down and try to build concept art and to see a vehicle like this with the angles and curves it has are fantastic.

Austin 7 Pearl - Mail Delivery

Austin 7 Pearl, originally uploaded by Johŋ.

This new old-style car by our very own, John, is great. I like the configuration of the wheels and mudguards. This is one of John's entries into the LUGnuts 31st challenge. (Expect more entries into that soon)

Kart Racing

This new racing cart by Flickr builder ZetoVince is fantastic an makes use of parts you wouldn't expect and in ways you wouldn't expect. It is also part of his contribution to LUGNuts 30th build challenge where there are two teams (Team Nathan and Team Lino). The teams are split by the beginning letter of usernames and this entry is a fantastic one for Team Nathan although I may be a little bias since I'm also supporting Team Nathan. A fantastic creation nonetheless and the photography is great here.

Petr-O-Rama

Sir Nadroj. Art Deco. Gas station. Deep in the Nevada desert. Retro cars, too.

What else needs to be said?

I just couldn't resist...

I've been drooling over Karwik's utterly fantastic Jelcz 272 MEX Polish-style bus for a while now and, as with that mech in the last post, I decided I should probably blog it. There are great techniques all over the place - most notably in the complex grille, make with 1x2 grille tiles and minifig levers. I would've preferred if the bus was made completely purist, so no cutting of flex tubing, but that's considered purist by many people nowadays so I should really get with the times. Anyway, enjoy!

There's also a nice shard of ground to go next to the bus. It's what Poland would be like in 2012, with the whole of the Earth's surface breaking up.

ps. The Brickspace post headers will be up and working again soon, promise!

RF 2153 Viper

A rather odd, yet very well made spacecraft by Pete Reid aka. legoloverman. Not the catchiest name, but I hope you like it!

Blacktron Car

An interesting car by 'Da bloomin' onion'. My favourite part is the rocket engine type thing underneath.

Medium Steam Gunner

A brilliant ship by pain parade. Lovely colours, shape, picture, lighting,  building techniques... the list goes on! I hope you like it as much as I do.

Unnamed Starfighter

A nice Star Wars based creation by 'lego addict'. It's a decent photo and there are some interesting techniques on the wings and front.

Dr. Crow's Auto-machinema

I love this creation by Zack NewRight, a really great use of specialist pieces to create an interesting shape.

Tiny Turbo 'Sandstorm'

Tiny Turbo 'Sandstorm', originally uploaded by Bodo Elsel.

A nice little creation by Bodo Elsel with a good picture and lighting. Some interesting building techniques and colours make this stand out from other similar creations.

PM Mobile Roof Support

I really like the Power miners theme, and this custom vehicle by Catsy is really cool. The photo and lighting could be better but altogether a good MOC.

Thunderbirds Are Go!

Tim Goddard (aka Rogue Bantha) goes microscale again with this brilliant Thunderbird Two. Yes, it has a working pod and yes, the pod contains Thunderbird 4. What more could you ask for? OK, how about this Thunderbird 1 to go with it?

You'll marvel at this repair shop...

Well, that 'witty' title is courtesy of the fact that I have finally worked out Mdrn-Mrvl's name to be 'Modern Marvels'. Actually, I found out ages ago, but we haven't blogged his stuff in a while so I never had a chance.

In continuation with his 1920s-gangster style (M-M being one of many builders inspired by the film Public Enemies), Mr. Marvels has built a great repair shop . Though it may look simple from the outside, it's packed with clever features as well as a selection of his 1920s cars. I really like the use of old white bricks (which sadly make up most of my white brick collection) on the building; it adds a wonderful aged effect.

What the devil's that?

Why, so glad you asked, chap! It's the latest hokery-pokery from that magician Jordan Schwartz (Sir Nadroj)! Apparently this hearse is from hell! How jolly frightening, Doris...
This is also the first MOC that I've seen with an intention to take it to BrickFair this year. If Sir Nadroj will be there, will YOU?

'Ursus' Power miners adaptation

I think I might have just found something to trump yesterday's power miners adaptation, it's a great photo, cool special effects and an amazing creation. It was created by 'misterzumbi' and you can see more of his creations by clicking here.

'Hammerhead' Hover Tank

I've always been a big fan of Pyrefyre and his great creations, and it is with this apparent '2 hour power-build ' that I now value him as one of my favourite builders.

The shapes are sharp and all fit perfectly to create a smooth, compact and strong model. My idea of a perfect tank. Congrats, Pyrefyre .

Wherever there is danger he'll be there.

Meet Danger Mouse - in LEGO. As created by Louise Dade with the help of her Mum no less, it features some enhanced Fabuland characters and the distinctive flying car that saw Danger Mouse and his sidekick Penfold through many an adventure. Danger Mouse was required viewing in the UK for kids when I was growing up. You can read more about him here, or even hum the theme tune.

Here's DM himself, with Penfold and their boss, Colonel K.

Neo-Octan Spaceship

Whilst I was trundling my way through the vast depths of the Flickr Lego group, one creation caught my attention. This is Aaron 's Neo-Octan spaceship, along with a robot, two minifigs and a hover-utility platform with various bits, bobs and noodles. I've always loved Octan: a brilliant logo of a (Danish) oil company which always keeps popping up in Lego sets here and there, including the upcoming City Corner Doc Sinister managed to grap a copy of. It's these little subtle inclusions of Danish culture which makes me smile. The creation is brilliant too (heh, nearly forgot about that)

Vid's Hovercraft

Vid' from Flickr is always amazing us, and that is certainly the case with his latest creation, a steampunk hovercraft. Full to the brim with greeblies and with some good Bionicle part integration, this is clearly a great representation of the Steampunk style and world. I particularly like the aeroplane engines on the bottom.
