'Hammerhead' Hover Tank

I've always been a big fan of Pyrefyre and his great creations, and it is with this apparent '2 hour power-build ' that I now value him as one of my favourite builders.

The shapes are sharp and all fit perfectly to create a smooth, compact and strong model. My idea of a perfect tank. Congrats, Pyrefyre .

Chewk's Landmate

Behold, a mecha. Yeah, yeah, I know I don't usually blog mechas: I don't usually like mechas, but Chewk 's recent redesign of his CCCP ДИ 3204 Landmate grabbed my attention by the collar and gave it a good hard slap round the face. With the custom stickers and a humanoid-rhino-type-shape, the Landmate is one mecha you will never forget.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys, but I've been busy with MOCtag amongst other things (like Brickspace 4.0), but I'm back now!

Pyrefyre off that large image-sharing website... oh, what was it called? Oh, yeah, Flickr. Well, Pyrefyre has generously stepped out of his normal MOC genres to create this adorable, lonely 'bot. Awww.

Neo-Octan Spaceship

Whilst I was trundling my way through the vast depths of the Flickr Lego group, one creation caught my attention. This is Aaron 's Neo-Octan spaceship, along with a robot, two minifigs and a hover-utility platform with various bits, bobs and noodles. I've always loved Octan: a brilliant logo of a (Danish) oil company which always keeps popping up in Lego sets here and there, including the upcoming City Corner Doc Sinister managed to grap a copy of. It's these little subtle inclusions of Danish culture which makes me smile. The creation is brilliant too (heh, nearly forgot about that)

Vid's Hovercraft

Vid' from Flickr is always amazing us, and that is certainly the case with his latest creation, a steampunk hovercraft. Full to the brim with greeblies and with some good Bionicle part integration, this is clearly a great representation of the Steampunk style and world. I particularly like the aeroplane engines on the bottom.

Bricks don't have to connect completely...

I have recently found two MOCs on MOCpages which have something in common: they both utilise building techniques in which bricks only touch at one corner, and the stud-and-tube joint is not completely used. This is an interesting and unique idea for complex designs, as you will see.

The first MOC is Jerac 's Cobrahn , a sleek, 'swooshable' spaceship that has a clever technique in its wings, where a 1x1 circular plate has been placed at the end stud of 1x4 and 1x3 bricks, then those bricks are connected normally at the other end, creating a wonderfully smooth, curved shape.

Next up is Marek Markiewicz ' brilliant Monowheel , which uses loads of 1x2 plates to create a smooth wheel for a large wheel-based vehicle of the future. If you check out the rest of the photos, you'll see Markiewicz has cleverly integrated the wheel into the frame, and though it is fragile, it looks brilliant.

It's finally finished... Zero Hour on Highway 44!

That amazing MOCer and AFOL Keith Goldman has, just yesterday, released pictures of the amazing Zero Hour on Highway 44 project. It is a huge diorama (Keith says it's bigger than your mum with diabetes) with loads of cars made by all your favourite MOCers, including Chuck Citrin and Nannan Zhang too. So I'm delighted to show you a few pictures, but if you want to see it all, check out the MOCpages article here. Wow.

Oh, and so you know: It's much MUCH bigger than you think it is.

A brilliant idea!

One of my favourite parts of the whole Diorama: the lighting on this is excellent.

The Yubi N-Motion

MOCer extroadinaire, Nannan Zhang, released pictures of his amazing new Yubi N-Motion MOC just yesterday.

Reminiscent of one of those three-wheel eco-friendly 'scooters' of the future that appear so often in DK Eyewitness books, Nannan's banana-shaped vehicle is certainly a feat of Lego building. It cleverly uses an old hockey helmet part, and has some great ideas for wheels too. Nannan has done well to keep the exposure under control, and the white of the MOC does not blend with the white of the background. Excellent MOC, and we at Brickspace hope Nannan builds more frequently in the future!

Classic Space: Perimeter Patrol Ship

As part of the new NeoClassicSpace campaign, Flickr user nnenn has brought us a modern-day remake of a Classic Space set. The Perimeter Patrol ship is a marvel of modern building techniques, with the cleverly designed cockpits and beautiful curvy shape. And don't forget the vents!

Another interesting fact about this MOC: the front cockpit's windscreen is actually a clear windscreen painted with a yellow gloss, to match the Classic Space colour scheme.

After 30 years...it's time to return.

This retro' style rocket by Fazoom is super-swooshable and very pleasing to the eye. The curved wingtips are a particularly nice touch as is hinged cockpit which may not open the way you would expect...

Hello everybody! I am finally online, thanks to John's diligent assistance. And here is a lovely Powerdozer by Flickr user Jerrec. I think it's got the perfect combination of nitty-gritty and space hi-tech, don't you? He promises this is not his last creation in this style. Good.

Like FedEx...

Nick Dean from MOCpages shows off his talent in this beauty of a creation, the Cargo Carrier. Reminiscent of the futuristic one in Stickman's 'Trucks' post a few months ago, I love the clever use of that large cockpit piece as... well, a cockpit, and If you take a gander at the MOCpages article here, you'll see some great detail on the underside of the project.

Flickr member nolnet finds an excellent was to bring back and old theme and in such a perfect way. Also possibly know for his refrigerator from his creation Leftovers.

Sleek L-Class

Brickshelf user Nash brings us a beautiful sleek red car for the man of tomorrow.

This user is also well known for his amazing custom Star Wars figures that any customizer will love.

Ninigi-no-Mikoto

Now our job here at Brickspace isn't necessarily to bring you the latest, up-to-date stuff, but I thought 'hey, I guess I will this one time'. So I bring you this: a new 2009 MOC from that forgetful dude Memory (how many of these memory jokes can I think up? You'd better hope it's a small amount...). This one's called Ninigi-no-Mikoto, and, though only a prototype, it shows off lots of Memory 's amazing skills with weird bricks: note the bicycle chassies as legs. How Memory keeps his stickers so pristine after repeated stickings, I'll never know. Once again, I must mention it is only a prototype, so don't expect too much of it.

Here's an excellent creation done by some guy called Cthulu R'lyeh . I love the design, the cleanliness of the picture and the great use of yellow pieces and that street-cleaner-hairy thing. Check out some more angles of this unique spaceship here .

Classic Space Mech

Go go Lemon Boy! Piaw piaw! Zipee dee doo da deee! Wah-hoo!

Er...sorry about that, guys. This is a great creation - a transport mech built in the classic space style, but with new bricks and a fleshie minifig. Interesting, huh? I love the bold, shiny colours, the injection of new building techniques and bricks into a classic LEGO theme. Simply amazing.
