This new old-style car by our very own, John, is great. I like the configuration of the wheels and mudguards. This is one of John's entries into the LUGnuts 31st challenge. (Expect more entries into that soon)

Fredoichi Rocks Out
Flickr user Fredoichi (rather well known on this blog from what I see) astounds us all again with his new Shūjuku L99 - Assault Class mecha. If the design isn't enough he even uses fantastic and interesting parts throughout. I really like the white med. blue and dark bley together. That tan takes the cake though.

LA, say bye-bye!
I keep telling myself it's too late to blog, but it seems Atin is trying to prove me wrong with his amazing atmospheric scene The Bombing of LA. I literally made a 'ka-boom' sound when I first saw this photo.
Oh, the building is spot-on too. Shame about the slightly bulky plane, though. Good explosion nonetheless.

Three reasons why I'd want Nannan Zhang as a student if I were a teacher
1. He'd make an awesome Pirate ship vignette for me when he was leaving university.
2. He'd make an amazing DNA sculpture from Bionicle claws for me when he was leaving university.
3. He'd make a wonderful gear-driven moving model for me when he was leaving university.
Seriously, his teachers are very lucky. And there may be more to come...

And then...
I think I can safely say this is the quickest and craziest summary of the whole Star Wars original saga I've ever seen. And it's a Brickfilm.
Something tells me it wasn't made entirely by the narrator, unless it's just a 40-year-old AFOL whose voice has never broken...

Checkmate!
My first contribution to Brickspace is this chess piece made by Flickr user Centuri. This beautifully shaped horse is very clever. The ears are very nice and the eyes are also very clever. More chess pieces made by Centuri can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chansplace/. All the pieces put together would make a lovely and usable chess set.

May+June Background
"Well hey," you say, "what's this new background you've got on Brickspace?"
Well, it's part of what I hope will become a regular change on Brickspace; our bimonthly background. Inspired by Wallpaper* Magazine's guest cover design, I thought it would be cool to have a different guest-designed background every two months.
Whilst the background for May and June isn't actually designed by Mad Physicist (Ralph Salvesberg), it features his drawings and plans for some of his old fighter plane MOCs. I hope you enjoy the new background - and if you have any ideas or suggestions for July+August's guest background, just email me at john@brickspace.org.
See ya!
~John
