Build Like an Egyptian.

Built by Shmails, this micro construction is intended as a loose recreation of Abu Simbel, a famous temple carved into the side of an Egyptian mountain.  I especially like the the "giant" statues and the greenery on the trees and the entrance into the mountain is superbly realised in such a small scale.

Starcraft Terran Battlecruiser

Jarek "Jarac" decided to update his Starcraft Terran Battlecruiser. It was cool during the WIP stages, along with the final stage, I think I love it even more now if that is even possible.

AT-ATs, on the go!

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like the subject matter of RogueBantha's latest MOC. From the Star Wars Extended Universe (EU) comes the AT-AT Barge, a huge dark grey container which can pick up and drop off AT-ATs onto tactical positions on Hoth.

I love how RogueBantha always builds on his library of Star Wars mini models, so it's great to see such a functional concept, in a great vignette, and with his classic mini AT-AT model.

Ich bin ein Berliner

Time to break my long silence and return to golf. To all those who I have disappointed, I am so sorry. I am returning at the Berlin PGA tournament - where I saw the famous landmarks: the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and the Siegessaeule (Victory Column, where President Obama spoke). In LEGO form! Utterly brilliant.

Mobile Launcher by legoloverman

Launching, originally uploaded by legoloverman.
This new micro-creation by popular micro-scale Peter Reid (legoloverman) is great and features loads of details for anyone of any skill to take in. The usage of old LEGO elements (the trees are in fact official) is marvelous. Great work Peter.

Flying Lizards?

I'm a sucker for VTOL attack craft and these little gunships from Don Quixote 2x4 (where do people get these names from?) make me swoon with desire. Well, maybe not quite swoon, but they are lovely little things, especially the one using the scaled brick as nose art. I'm also somewhat in awe of that incredible ground/floor - an apaprently endless series of slopes!

Hidden Delights.

Now you see it, now you don't - this microscale temple by mahjqa has a nifty feature, it descends into the ground! Make sure you check out the video to see it in operation!

Blacktron goes Micro.

I really like this microscale heavy-duty Blacktron bomber by Peter Reid (Legoloverman). Apart from its sleek viciousness, it looks a lot like some of the SF concept art that formed a heavy part of my spacey upbringing in the 1970s. Glorious!

Flickr user Legoloverman has great style with classic-space and this micro that took him four hours is no exception. It represents that old theme so perfectly.
